I have in hand this Blackberry 8520 stuck on an error on the display. The only solution for this is to reprogram.
I am using Windows 7 OS. Be sure that Blackberry driver was installed on your system. Flashing your Blackberry via RIM Wireless Device Command-Line Auto-Programmer Version 3.9.0.73 is very very easy. You just need to download the firmware, then install it on your PC / Laptop. Example is the Blackbery 8520. Download OS Version: 5.2.0.47 for your Blackberry 8520. Then install it. Open the shorcut icon - bb 8520_5.0.0_rel860 by softwareking. Finally insert usb cable to your phone, and the software will automatically run... All you need to do is wait until finish.
