Here is a guide on how to hard reset Samsung Galaxy J1.
1. Power off the phone.
2. Then press and hold Volume Up + Home + Power button until you see logo of your phone.
3. When you see the Android Image menu release both buttons.
4. Now hold down the Power key for a short while, and you will be directed to recovery mode.
5. Use Volume down button to select "Wipe Data/Factory Reset" and Power button to do the process.
6. Then select :delete all user data", again press power button to do the process.
7. After that select option "reboot system now".
