If you have hard resetted your Samsung i5500 and doesn't fix the issue of your phone, flashing it using Odin will be your last option. Before doing that, the usb driver of your Samsung i5500 must be installed on your laptop.
How To Flash Samsung i5500 Using Odin Multi Downloader 4.28
1. Put the phone on download mode. How? Power off the phone, or take out the battery. After 5 seconds insert the battery. Press Volume Down, Home Button and Power Button at the same time until you see the triangle icon with an Android image inside, and below it says "Downloading"
2. Insert USB cable, the unit must install all the drivers, and after that the Odin software must detect its proper com port as shown on the image below.
3. Load the firmware. The firmware that I have downloaded is a One Package, so put a check on One Package. Press OPS tab and browse on OPS file. Then press One Package tab and browse on One Package firmware.
4. Press START and with until finish. It will show "PASS" with a blue color.
