What is rooting means on Android Platform

Rooting in very simple words is to let the Android OS handsets allow other applications to install or perform other operations that the non-rooted Android handsets can't do. If there is unbricking of PSP or customizing a PSP, or on iOS device, it is called "jailbreaking". On Android OS it is called "rooting". After rooting you must expect that the superuser is now in your menu. It means obtaining the superuser to access on your Android software. It's like giving right or permission. If you customize your Android handsets, the pre-requisit is to root first the handset. And if your Android handsets were rooted, you can customize it, by loading or flashing it with customize firmwares. Others often says, it's like hacking it's software or its operating system and customize it whatever you like.

In rooting your Android phone, you must take your own risk. And be sure you know what you are doing or else you will void the manufacturers warranty and your handsets might get brick. Or brick means, in very simple words, "damage". And when you say damage, your phone will become useless and will not function anymore. It's just like a waste. So be very careful in rooting your Android Phones.
