The status of the unit is stuck on recovery mode. When restored to iTunes it give the error "
An unknown error occured(1)" as shown in the image below. This error is populary know as ERROR 1.
And with this error the most common component to check is the baseband chip. First thing to do is to reheat it. Some used hot air, and other used soldering lead and soldering iron like shown on the image below. Reheat the ic within 30-40 second, then restore again in iTunes...
Otherwise, replace it.
